Raipur: An elderly man was dragged out of his house and assaulted by four unidentified persons in Ghotia village near Kanker town of Chhattisgarh on Thursday night. Then he was brutally killed. After that, they hung the body from a tree and fled. The incident is said to have taken place around 12.30 am on Thursday. As soon as the incident was reported in the morning, the police reached the spot and removed the body from the tree, and started investigating the matter. Dariav Kumeti (70), a resident of Ghotia village, was sleeping in a kutcha house near the farm along with his wife Mahanti and mother. At around 12.30 am, four unidentified masked men arrived at his house and called the elderly man out.
