Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, the Forest Ministry has found the body of an elephant in the forest of Surajpur district. The officials gave this information on Sunday. Officials of the forest department have said that the body of a wild elephant has been found by the forest department in Pratappur forest zone under Surajpur district. Six elephants had gone to be killed in 4 districts of the state for different reasons in the month of June. An elephant died in Jashpur district last month due to the current. After the serial death of elephants in the state, CM Bhupesh Baghel has issued a directive to form a team of 10 people, including one officer each from the affected forest circles. The team has been said to keep an eye on the activities of elephants. Reports of clashes between elephants and locals are often heard in villages in the dense forests of Surguja, Korba, Surajpur, Raigad, Jashpur and Koriya districts of the northern region of the state.
