Chhattisgarh government's big move, lockdown will continue throughout May weekend

Raipur: The Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh has taken a big decision regarding the lockdown in the state. As per the verdict, Chhattisgarh will have a complete lockdown every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of May. During this time only shops of very essential services including vegetable, milk and medicine will be opened. During this period, liquor shops will also be closed across the state for two days.

The Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel has agreed to the suggestion of the State Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu to prevent the coronavirus epidemic. In which he has suggested that all the Saturdays and Sundays of May month in the state be locked in the state. On all Saturdays and Sundays of May, there will now be a lockdown across the state.

A total of 59 corona infected patients have been found so far in the state. However, 36 of these have returned home recovering. Thus, there are 23 active cases of corona infection in the state. Most patients are in Korba district. 28 infected cases have been registered here. 10 cases have been found in Durg, 7 in Raipur, 6 in Surajpur, 6 in Kawardha and 1 in Rajnandgaon and Bilaspur. The state government does not want to take any risk even after the corona cases in Chhattisgarh are lower than other states .
