New Delhi: The statement of the country's Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora has come out regarding the by-elections to be held in 26 vacant assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. In an interview given to a newspaper, he said that the by-elections in Madhya Pradesh will be as per schedule and these will be done by the end of September. After Sunil Arora's statement, it is being speculated that the date of the by-election may be announced soon. It is noteworthy that by-elections are proposed for 26 vacant assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, for which the major political parties of the state BJP and Congress have stepped up the preparations. Of these 26, 24 seats are vacant due to resignation of Congress MLAs, while Jaura and Agar seats are vacant due to the death of the MLAs here. In the wake of the Corona crisis, the by-election was being feared for some time. But after the statement of Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora, it has become clear that the by-elections will be held on time. Corona is a challenge for the entire country and in such a situation the Election Commission will also take great precaution for the by-election. It is believed that more polling booths will be constructed to control the crowd of voters. All the rules regarding corona along with physical distance in the queue of voters will be followed. The voter has to sanitize his hand before pressing the button in EVM.
