China launches coronavirus 'close contact detector' app

The app that the Chinese government has introduced to detect the corona virus has been named 'Close Contact Detector'. If you have come in contact with someone who is infected with the corona virus, it will alert you and suggest you go to a nearby hospital.

Have to be registered by scanning QR code

In order to do their investigation with this app, the consumer has to scan the QR code of the app like social media platform WeChat. Apart from this, it has to be registered with the mobile number and name. This app has been designed by the Electronics Technology Group Corporation of China together. Now the question is, how does this app work and how can an app tell whether you have corona virus or not?

How the Close Contact Detector App Works

The Chinese government has not given any information on what basis this app gives information about coronavirus, but questions have started to arise about the security of this app. Aadhaar tells you whether you are infected with Coronavirus or not. Actually, this app checks your location history and as soon as it is known that you went to such an area where Is not coronavirus then the app will alert you. But through this app, the government will get information about your entire activities, when and where you were.
