The New Notification has been issued by the Delhi Transport Department to bid for VIP number of car and two-wheeler. Under the Delhi Motor Vehicle (First Amendment) Rules 2019, VIP numbers will now be auctioned online. For this, the Delhi government has created four types of price categories. Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot says the entire process of VIP number auction will be transparent. Buyer needs to pay Rs 50,000 for the scooter's VIP number.

If a customer takes the number 0001 for the car, he will have to pay a minimum of Rs 5 lakh. The scooter takes the number 0001 so the minimum price is fixed at Rs 50 thousand. On the other hand, at least Rs 3 lakh will be paid for the car's number from 0002 to 0009. You can also get an old number of cars or scooters. However, additional fees will have to be deposited for this.
For your information, if you wish to retain the old number, you will have to pay a minimum of 10 percent of the reserve price for the 0001 number or the higher the fee for the old number. In simple terms, if you're taking number 1, it's worth 5 million and 10% to 50,000. This way the highest fee for number 1 will have to be paid. The minimum price for the number 0002-0009 is Rs 3 lakh and thus a fee of Rs. 3 thousand will be paid at 10%. Similarly, prices for the rest of the numbers have been fixed.
