Coldplay’s Chris Martin and his partner actress Dakota Johnson take holy dip at Mahakumbh

A video of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his actress girlfriend Dakota Johnson taking holy dip at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj is going viral on social media. This comes a couple of days after the couple was spotted visiting the Kumbh mela on January 27. And it seems they are making the most out of their time here in India.

Notably, the video is captured by a fan on his Instagram account where he got to have a candid meet with the celebrity couple. They are taking the holy dip in the river Ganges with Chris wearing black shorts and Dakota had put on a black kurta paired with trousers. Later on, Chris was seen greeting devotees around with folded hands when he realized being captured on camera.

Chris also prayed with folded hands while taking the dip at the Mahakumbh. In the video, the fan wrote, “When you chose Kumbh over Coldplay but Mahadev has different plans and Coldplay comes to you!! Chris Martin wins for his respect to Triveni Sangam and Kumbh.”

Bharat Chaudhary shared the video with the caption, “When you can’t go to the concert, the artist comes to you at Kumbh mela! Took a sangam snan with none other than Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Dakota, who followed every ritual with deep respect. Music unties, but faith transcends. Har Har Mahadev!”

As the video went on getting viral, even the users took to shower their love in the comments section. A user wrote, “Wow nice he is embracing culture & rituals being a British & trying traditions without any hesitation.” Another user wrote, “This is one of the best reels I have seen this year.” Someone else reacted, “Chris Martin and Dakota at Mahakumbh?! A crossover we didn’t know could happen, but definitely needed.” And one more user said, “When you can’t go Coldplay…Coldplay comes to you.”

Chris and Dakota have been in India since January 16, for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour. The band performed in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Their last show was held in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Republic Day, where Chris ended the concert with, “Salute to Mother India” and wished everyone a Republic Day.
