He said goodbye to the world. Jagdeep breathed his last at the age of 81 in Mumbai. Jagdeep is a well-known actor in Hindi cinema. He has ruled Bollywood for decades. Jagdeep's real name was Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri. But after coming to films, he had named himself Jagdeep. Jagdeep has spread the magic of his acting in many popular films. Jagdeep got fame from the character 'Surma Bhopali' in the film Sholay. Jagdeep has acted in around 400 films which shows his love for Bollywood. He started his career as a child artist. Then he also played the lead role in some films. He started his journey to become a comedian with Shammi Kapoor's film Brahmachari, in the film Andaz Apna Apna, he played the role of Salman Khan's father. Jagdeep's sons Javed Jaffrey and Naved Jaffrey are also active in the entertainment world. His grandson Meijan made his debut as an actor in Hindi cinema last year with producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Malal. Last year, he was honoured for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema at the IIFA ceremony in Mumbai.
