CISF Seizes Diamonds Worth ₹60 Lakh at Delhi Airport

New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has intercepted two passengers at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, and seized diamonds weighing about 163 grams, valued at approximately ₹60 lakh.

On September 4, during pre-embarkation security checks at Terminal 3, CISF personnel discovered 80 grams of diamonds concealed in the waist belt of a passenger identified as Jitendra Farsio. He was scheduled to board a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul.

Further investigation revealed that Farsio's accomplice, M Anuj Patil Bhagwan, was also on the same flight and carrying additional diamonds. Using CCTV footage, authorities located and intercepted Bhagwan, finding another 83 grams of diamonds concealed in his handbag. Both passengers and the recovered diamonds were handed over to customs officials for further action.
