Cleanse your soul by visiting 'Khawaja Gharibnawaz Dargah Ajmer'

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty is a Dargah of Sufi saint at Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. According to religious beliefs people who visit Ajmer Sharif and pray with pure faith and loyalty at his Dargah, Lord will free their soul. Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti is also known by different names as, Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, “Sultan-Ul-Hind”, Khwaja Baba, Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Ajmeri, Khwaja Sahib, Khwaja Saheb, Khwaja Ajmeri Saint Moinuddin Chishty. The Dargah Khawaja Gharibnawaz ( R.A) has several tombs, buildings, Daalaans and courtyards are of  Mughal architecture.

The large pillars called "Kose Minar", built of two miles (3 km) along the entire way between Agra and Ajmer mark the places where the royal pilgrims halted every day. On an average at least 150,000 devotees visit the Dargarh every single day.

The main gate to the shrine is the Nizam Gate, followed by the Shahjahani Gate, is built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. In turn it is followed by the Buland Darwaza, built by Sultan Mahmood Khilji, upon which is hoisted the urs flag, marking the beginning of the death anniversary rituals. The urs for Moinuddin Chishti is celebrated every year on the 6th and 7th of Rajab.

Devotees belonging to all the religion come to visit the place with all their problems in a wish to get rid from them and then surrender themselves to God.

Ajmer can be easily accessed through air, train or road. While the nearest airport is about 138 kms, in the city of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, the easier way is to take a train to the city.
