Chicago: In a statement issued on Sunday, Cleveland, Ohio police said they are actively looking into the Jan. 27 reported disappearance of Omar Al-Anazi, a visiting Saudi national.
Al-Anazi, 30, spent time in the city's tourist district near the Lake Erie waterfront before being last seen by friends around 10 a.m. He was out and about with friends in the downtown area when he was reported missing, according to witnesses, the Cleveland Division of Police said.
According to Cleveland Division of Police Department officials, the man "went with a group to the East 9th Street Pier at approximately 2:30 a.m. to look at the water and was reportedly intoxicated."

The statement continued, "Al-Anazi reportedly walked away when the group turned to leave." According to Cleveland Police, Al-friends Anazi's looked for him but were unable to find him. Because of his predicament—he was a visitor to the city with limited English—and the police's designation of the disappearance as "endangered," the case has been classified as such.

Al-Anazi is visiting from Saudi Arabia, according to the police, and is said to not speak English. He wore a beige jacket and pants when he was last seen. Anyone with information is urged to contact Cleveland Police at 1-216-621-1234 as soon as possible.
