Jaipur: RT-PCR method of infection with coronavirus in private labs in Rajasthan will now be tested for Rs 800 instead of Rs 1200. State CM Ashok Gehlot has announced this on Saturday. He said that the state government has taken this decision in view of the reduction in the cost of RT-PCR test kit. He said that initially, the fee for coronavirus test in private labs was Rs 2200, which was later fixed by the government at Rs 1200. He said, "In view of the reduction in the cost of the kit, now the state government will ban all private laboratories to do this test for only 800 rupees instead of 1200 rupees. Checking will be done through the PCR kit which is the most reliable test in the whole world." Gehlot released the coronavirus test labs in six districts (Hanumangarh, Pratapgarh, Jaisalmer, Rajsamand (Nathdwara), Tonk and Bundi) through video conference. Gehlot also inaugurated renovation-alteration (repair) of new wards, orthopaedic theatre and acute care wards for cancer treatment and interior work of cancer wards at Mathuradas Mathur Hospital, Jodhpur.
