Rahul Gandhi's 'Go to RSS' statement raises controversy, CM Gehlot defended

Jaipur: A statement by former Congress National President and Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi is currently in the news. Addressing volunteers appointed for the Congress social media cell on Friday, Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He made it clear that whoever is afraid while in the Congress can go to RSS, while those who are outside the Congress but fearless are welcome in the party.

Rahul Gandhi's statement was highly discussed in the political corridors. Now Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has defended his leader's statement. He tweeted that Rahul Gandhi had only tried to explain the ideology of the Congress party. In a tweet, Gehlot wrote that Rahul Gandhi's statement means a lot as he wants Congress to fearlessly take on the BJP. On his part, the workers have been reminded of the ideology of the Congress, which has always been opposed to the communal politics of the RSS.

Coming to Rahul Gandhi's statement, he had said that there are many people outside the Congress, bring them in, drives away those who are afraid of us, RSS, then have fun. We don't need such people. The party needs fearless and courageous people. That's where our ideology is. Now many of his statements have been interpreted. Recently, several senior Congress leaders have joined the BJP. Be it Jitin Prasada or Jyotiraditya Scindia. Rahul Gandhi's assertion that weak leaders should leave the party is a matter of concern for all those leaders.
