CM Bommai Challenges to Oppn leaders: Submit documents on Bitcoin scandal

Bengaluru: Opposition leaders making claims against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over a Bitcoin scam have been challenged by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to expound on the purported Bitcoin scam and provide any evidence, if any, to the inquiry agencies already investigating the matter.

"I will not like to respond on the subject every day," Bommai stated following a function to congratulate Justice Aravind Kumar, who was recently appointed as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. In response to reporters' questioning about the situation, Bommai stated, "Allow those who are making the accusations to clarify what the scam is and who is participating. 8-9 months ago, the matter was handed over to the Enforcement Directorate. The CBI's Interpol Cell has also been alerted about the case, which has international implications." The sum involved in the alleged scam has been reported in a variety of ways. He said the allegations lacked documentary support.

"Our government is keeping an open mind on the subject. There is no way of protecting anyone. None of us are a part of it. Allow them to hand over the documents they have in their hands to the investigative agencies, allowing the truth to emerge "Bommai remarked.
