SRINAGAR: Veteran politician and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah was tested corona positive days back. His son has recently made a tweet about admitting Farooq Abdullah to a hospital as a precautionary measure, on Saturday. Omar Abdullah, Farooq's son took it to Twitter and said my father has been admitted to hospital in Srinagar based on the advice of doctors "to enable them to better monitor" him. His tweet further read “Based on the advice of doctors to enable them to better monitor my father, he has been admitted to hospital in Srinagar. Our family remains grateful to everyone for their messages of support & their prayers." Earlier, on Tuesday, the 85-year-old NC president tested positive for COVID-19. After the reports, he was home-isolated initially, but doctors on Saturday decided to shift him to a hospital for better medical care. Now, Abdullah has been admitted at Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences at Soura in the morning as a “precautionary measure." Several leaders, including PM Narendra Modi, wished him a speedy recovery after the news came to light.
