Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again shown her tough attitude about NRC. Mamta Banerjee said that today, there is talk of partition of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the state to disturb Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who arrived in Siliguri on a five-day visit to North Bengal, said at the Vijaya Sammelan organized by the Siliguri Police Commissionerate on Monday that neither partition of Bengal nor NRC would be allowed to take place here. If necessary, the government of every citizen will become the guard. Mamta further said that Bengal has been gaining fame all over the world not only for its cultural heritage. The hallmark of peace and prosperity in Bengal is that Bengal has brought the most illustrious names in the country from NASA to language. Nobel laureates have extended the name of Bengal. Without naming the central government and BJP, the Chief Minister said that when the number of Nepali, Bengali, Hindi-speaking, Rajvanshi and Adivasis in NRC in Assam reached 13 lakh, it is being said that the Citizen Amendment Bill will be passed in the winter session. Through this, people who have come to the NRC should go on the foreign list for six years. This will not happen here while I am here. Neither NRC will apply in Bengal nor will a single person go out of Bengal. The government is determined for this. For this, his government will do whatever it takes. NRC seekers will never succeed in Bengal. The neglected North Bengal has been fully enriched after the arrival of the mother-mother-manush government in the state. Attacking the Center, Mamta said that today due to many policies, 40 percent people in the country have become unemployed whereas Bengal is a state which has overcome 40 percent unemployment.
