Mumbai: Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday (May 1, 2022) narrated an anecdote related to PM Narendra Modi and Balasaheb Thackeray. Talking to the media, he said that after the Godhra riots, L K Advani had come to Mumbai and asked questions about the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, and at that time, Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb had told L K Advani the price of Narendra Modi. CM Thackeray said, "After the Godhra riots, the 'Modi Hatao' campaign was going on. Advani had come to Mumbai for a rally. At that time, he asked Balasaheb what do you think should Modi be removed. On hearing this, Balasaheb had said, 'Don't touch him.' If Modi went, Gujarat will slip. Talking to the media, Thackeray said, "My relationship is still with PM Modi, but that does not mean that there will be an alliance. It is worth mentioning that at present in Maharashtra, due to the loudspeaker controversy, the Shiv Sena is surrounded from all sides. In such a situation, he narrated the story related to PM Modi during the same time, when he was responding to the loudspeaker issue.'' On the campaign being run by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray over loudspeakers, Uddhav said, "There are some people who keep changing flags. Earlier they used to try to attack non-Marathi people. Now they are attacking non-Hindus. It's the era of marketing. If it doesn't go, then something else. The Supreme Court has given an order on the loudspeaker. I don't think he has spoken about any one religion. The guidelines are for all religions.'' 'Remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 4 or else...', AIMIM MP hits back at Raj Thackeray's threat 'Europe is facing many challenges...', says PM Modi before embarking on a three-nation tour 'Maharashtra has gone ahead in controlling corona, it has disturbed the Centre', says CM Thackeray attacks the government
