UP govt gives Rs 1,000 financial assistance to over 4.8 lakh daily wagers

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting on Friday morning with Team-11, formed to deal with the challenges of the corona epidemic. In the meeting, CM Yogi discussed with the officials of Team-11 about the decisions related to the corona epidemic in the state. After this meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath gave information about various decisions after holding press talks.

In his press conference, CM Yogi said that, 'Uttar Pradesh government had decided to help those people whose livelihood has been affected due to Coronavirus. In the first phase, more than 11 lakh workers of the state have been sent Rs 1,000 to their accounts. The daily food laborers' food needs will be met through community kitchens. Let us tell you that on March 30, CM Yogi Adityanath had earlier transferred Rs 611 crore through DBT at the bank accounts of 27.50 lakh laborers at the rate of Rs 1000 per person.

CM Yogi said that 1000 people per person to street vendors, auto drivers, rickshaw drivers, e-rickshaw drivers, paladars etc. working in the mandi etc., doing 4 lakh 81 thousand daily work as identified by the city development department on Friday. An amount of Rs has been provided in their bank accounts through direct benefit transfer. CM Yogi has sent a total of 48 crore, 17 lakh, 55000 rupees in one click in the bank accounts of 4.81 lakh daily workers.
