The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for a severe cold for 6 days in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, there will be severe cold in Delhi-NCR for the next 3 days and then the dense fog will remain in the whole of North India for 3 days. The minimum temperature was recorded at 1.4 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung and 1.6 degrees Celsius at Lodhi Road. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees below normal on Monday, January 16. However, the sun is coming out as the day progresses. The Meteorological Department has predicted a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius in Delhi for three consecutive days.
