Commodity Watch: Gold zoom Rs 506, silver jumps Rs 1,374

Commodity- Gold & Silver: In the Commodity market, price of Gold in the national capital reportedly surged Rs 506 to Rs 55,940 per 10 grams on Tuesday, January 3, amid a rally in prices of the precious metal internationally,

The Gold price had touched Rs 55,434 per 10 grams in the previous trade. Silver price also zoomed to Rs 1,374 to Rs 71,224 per kilogram.

Market analysts are of view that ''Comex spot gold price has resumed trading on a positive note in early Asian hours on January 3. Safe haven demand pushed Gold metal's price higher,'' ''Gold prices inched higher hitting a 6-month high as the market's attention turned to minutes from the US Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting, falls this week. Minutes from the Federal December policy meeting are due on tomorrow, January 4, which could offer hints on the central bank's tightening path.  Gold prices may get support from lower interest rates fetching safe-haven investment."  In the international market, gold was trading inpositive trajectoryy at USD 1,843 per ounce while silver was up at USD 24.37 per ounce.
