Congress leaders in Kerala take on Shashi Tharoor for remarks praising PM Narendra Modi

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor is trapped in the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat for praising PM Narendra Modi. Tharoor has been asked to issue a notice on behalf of the party. Kerala Congress Unit President Mulapalli Ramachandran said in Kannur on Tuesday that we will seek a clear-based conceit from Shashi Tharoor for praising PM Modi.

Ramachandran said further action will be scheduled after the disstipation given by Tharoor. It is worth mentioning here that Shashi Tharoor said in a tweet, "I have been arguing for six years that if Narendra Modi does something right or says the right thing, he should be praised. so that his credibility is maintained when he does something wrong, and we criticize him. I welcome others in the Opposition to agree, for which I was criticized at that time."

Tharoor's remarks came at a time when two top Congress leaders had wrongly accused PM Modi of being a "villain". After senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, Abhishek Manu Singhvi had said that it was not right to portray PM Modi as a villain and the opposition helped him in a way.
