Lucknow: The heated exchanges among leaders over the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are intensifying. Meanwhile, a video of Congress leader Ajay Rai from Varanasi is going viral on social media, in which he is seen telling PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath to bury them in the ground with salt after March 7. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has complained to the Election Commission. When the EC started an inquiry into it, Ajay Rai has clarified that he meant to remove the BJP from the government. Giving clarification, Ajay Rai said that Yogi was telling about the poor quality of salt being given free in ration by the government. During this, he told the people that, 'Keep that salt collected, after 7 March it will be useful to bury Modi-Yogi in the ground with them. That would be the proper use of that salt. This video of Ajay Rai, who contested from Varanasi against PM Modi, is spreading rapidly on social media. After the video went viral, the BJP has given a complaint against Ajay Rai to the EC. Seeing the controversy over the statement escalating, the Congress leader has clarified that his statement is being twisted. He was talking about removing Yogi and Modi from power. Ajay Rai has been given the ticket by the Congress from the Pindara seat in this election.
