Congress MLA hurt by factionalism allegations, says 'I will resign if found guilty in investigation'

Dehradun: Congress MLA Pritam Singh has made a big statement saddened by the allegation of factionalism against him. He said if the party has lost in the Assembly due to factionalism, then the central leadership should conduct an inquiry. "If I am found guilty in the investigation, I should resign from the post of MLA. As Pritam, I have a choice. The people of Chakrata have chosen and sent me. I am working as their MLA.''

On Monday, senior Congress leader and MLA Pritam made this statement. He had earlier met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami late on Sunday. People in political and public life sometimes meet their own and sometimes their opponents. But the time of some meetings is such that many kinds of questions start floating in Fiza and their meaning is sought.

On Sunday late evening, there was a meeting between CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Congress's strong leader and Chakrata MLA Pritam Singh. Just before the meeting, the Congress high command had announced the names of the state president, leader and deputy leader of the opposition. The apprehension due to which the Congress high command was delaying the decision for a month, it proved to be true as soon as it came to the fore. Pritam Singh's camp flared up due to the attention given to Yashpal Arya, Bhuvan Kapri, and Karan Mahara. The resignations of many individuals also stamped the displeasure of the Pritam camp. Immediately after this, unexpectedly, Pritam Singh met CM Pushkar Dhami and gave rise to many types of discussions. However, people close to both Pritam and CM about this meeting say that the discussion took place about the development and betterment of the state. But the situation in which the meeting took place, political pundits say that Pritam, annoyed by his dissatisfaction with the party, is looking for political options for himself and his loved ones.
