Bhopal: The Congress' no-confidence motion against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh has been rejected. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan responded selectively to the 51-point allegations of the Congress for more than 2 hours. Subsequently, the proposal was rejected by voice vote. With this, the proceedings of the Assembly have been canceled indefinitely. A no-confidence motion moved by the Congress in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government was discussed at length. The discussion, which started at around 12.20 pm on Wednesday, continued for about 12.35 am without any break, after which Speaker Girish Gautam adjourned the House till 11 am on Thursday. This morning, the CM replied to the discussion, and then voting was held. Amid the continuous uproar by the opposition Congress, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave his reply on the points of the opposition's subconscious motion. Due to Chouhan's nearly two-and-a-half-hour address, he presented his side on almost all points. He constantly attacked the opposition over the activities carried out during the 15-month rule of Congress. CM Chouhan said that he had hoped that if Congress came to power after 15 years, it would fulfill all its promises made to the people. Due to this, he asked the opposition to think about why their government had fallen. He also highlighted the absence of former CM Kamal Nath due to the proceedings of the House today. The CM said that the present government also takes care of the respect of the members of the opposition. Due to this, he told through an example of how he was treated when he was not CM. Chouhan said that the Kamal Nath government of Congress has made corruption public. He said that at that time the posts were divided. There was a transaction in the appointments of senior-level officers. The game of transfers went on. Due to corruption, there was panic in the state. That is why he said that he has vowed that he will not rest until that corruption is abolished.
