Consignment of Made in India corona vaccines airlifted for Dominican Republic

India has developed two vaccines against corona and now the nation is also supplying the vaccines to the other nations. After supplying vaccinees to many countries under  Vaccine Maitri' initiatives, India on Thursday airlifted consignment vaccines for the Dominican Republic.

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Anurag Srivastava shared this information on his Twitter post. He wrote, "Consignment of Made in India Covid vaccines airlifted for the Dominican Republic!. 

Earlier on Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India has been very much at the forefront of the worldwide fight against the corona pandemic and is providing vaccines to the world under 'Vaccine Maitri' initiatives. So Far, India has provided vaccines to Twenty-five nations . Forty-nine more countries will be supplied in the coming days, ranging from Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean to Africa, South-East Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Meanwhile, according to Union Health Ministry data, India's corona infection tally climbed to 1,09,50,201 with 12,881 new cases in a day, while 1,06,56,845 people have recuperated so far pushing the national recovery rate to 97.32 per cent on Thursday. The death count climbed to 1,56,014 with the novel coronavirus virus claiming 101 lives in a span of 24 hours in the country, the data showed.
