Controversy Escalates as Islamists Criticize Tej Pratap Yadav's Support for Elvish Yadav

Patna: On August 14, 2023, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2 will be revealed through ongoing online voting. Presently, Elvish Yadav is leading the voting statistics. Notably, RJD leader and Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav publicly endorsed and encouraged support for Elvish Yadav, a move that has sparked controversy within the online community.

Tej Pratap Yadav took to Twitter to share a poster featuring Elvish Yadav, urging his followers to cast their votes in favor of him. Tej Pratap's tweet included hashtags such as #Elvishyadav, #VoteForElvish, and #ElvishTheBoss.

However, Tej Pratap Yadav's endorsement and call for votes in favor of Elvish Yadav received criticism from some Islamists on Twitter. The response included derogatory and racially insensitive remarks directed at Tej Pratap.

User Imran Sheikh wrote, "Tej Pratap Yadav, you supported him just because he is a Yadav. Don't you know how much hate he spreads?"

Wasim Ahmed expressed, "Yadavs have come, Yadavs have united, even if it is against you, even if it is against Muslims, I would like to say to all Muslim brothers, unfollow him."

Mohammed Sahil questioned, "Brother Tej Pratap Yadav, have you got piles in your head? Go and get yourself treated."

Amidst the backlash, a Twitter user highlighted a perceived betrayal of the Muslim community, stating, "This is a betrayal of my community. My Muslim brothers, don't vote for RJD this time."

The controversy extended to accusations of favoritism, as Ashif Amil remarked, "And look at Tej Bhaiya, the finals of Bigg Boss is going on, Manisha Rani from Bihar and Elvish Yadav from Haryana have reached the finals. But the minister of Bihar and the son of Lalu Yadav support Elvish Yadav because he is a Yadav, he has nothing to do with Bihar. And also call themselves secular."

Wafa Abbas criticized Tej Pratap Yadav's actions, stating, "Earlier I used to believe that the opposition speaks wrong about you. But now I have come to know that you say anything without investigation, you write anything, you are not fit to be a minister. Learn something from Tejashwi, you are supporting the person who comments on a particular religion."

The top five contenders on the show, hosted by Salman Khan, are Pooja Bhatt, Elvish Yadav, Manisha Rani, Bebika Dhurve, and Abhishek Malhan. The winner will be announced on August 14. Following the backlash against his support for Elvish Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav later deleted his post on the platform.
