Mumber of men who died of corona is more than women, research reveals

New Delhi: According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, due to coronavirus in India, fewer women are dying than men. Nearly half of the dead patients are above 60 years of age. By April 30 afternoon, 1,074 people have died due to corona across the country. 65 percent of which are male. Which shows that the virus has killed more men than women.

According to a study published in Peer on April 22, an analysis of 5,700 Corona patients admitted to 12 hospitals in New York City by the American journal Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) showed that at least 60 percent of men were admitted to the hospital. Whereas of the 373 patients undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit, 66.5 percent were male. Diabetes, high BP, and obesity were the most common diseases among critically ill patients.

 Indian patients are taking serious forms due to age and underlying medical conditions like corona, sugar, hai BP, kidney or heart disease. 78 percent of those who lost their lives due to the virus were in poor health due to some reason and 51.2 percent are over 60 years of age. Out of 51.2 percent above 60 years, 42 percent are aged between 60 and 75 years and 9.2 percent are over 75 years.
