Patna: The entire country is going through a terrible situation due to Corona epidemic. The government is making various efforts to deal with it. Meanwhile, Nitish government has made an announcement that in view of the rising case of coronavirus in Bihar, now the infected patients will be able to get the facility of home isolation. On this, Principal Secretary of Health Department Uday Kumawat has written a letter to all the district collectors and informed them about the new guidelines. This time there will be some changes mainly in the new guideline.

Principal Secretary of Health Department Uday Kumawat has said in his letter that all the District Magistrates have been authorized for the decision to place any COVID-19 infected patient in-home quarantine or isolation centre. According to the government guidelines, home isolation will be provided to the infected person only when necessary arrangements for quarantine self-isolation and other family contact are available at their home.

During the home isolation, the infected patient will have to monitor their health regularly and in case of any symptoms, they should immediately contact the nearest health centre to facilitate their proper treatment. Meanwhile, the home isolation of infected patients will end after 14 days of sample collection but it is necessary that they do not have any symptoms of infection. The state government will also have to provide an undertaking to the infected person to get the facility of home isolation.
