New Delhi: The more infectious delta variant of coronavirus has entered 135 countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported in a report in this regard. In a weekly report by the organization on coronavirus, WHO also reported that the beta variant of the corona has reached 132 countries, and cases of gamma variants have been found in 81 countries. Cases of alpha variants have been found in 182 countries. The report says that cases seem to be on the rise all over the world. The highest number of cases in the past week have been reported in the United States (5,43,420 new cases, 9 percent increase), India (2,83,923 new cases, 7 percent increase), Indonesia (273,891 new cases, 5 percent decline), Brazil (2,47,830 new cases, 24 percent decline) and Iran (2,06,722 new cases, 27 percent increase). The Southeast Asian region has registered a 9 percent increase in new cases (more than 8,41,000 cases). While the death toll (22,000 deaths) is almost normal.
