Mumbai: Due to the corona, there is a disturbance in the festival of Lord Ganesha. The crowd is already banned due to coronavirus threat, so most of the big Ganesh mandals have decided to organize Ganesh Utsav on a small scale this time. One of the oldest Ganesh mandals in Mumbai is Mumbaicha Raja Mandal of Ganesh Gali. Ganapati of this mandal is famous for the huge statue and grand decoration of the pandal. But this time the board has already said that the event will be held on a small scale. Swapnil Parab, secretary of Mumbaicha Raja Mandal, says, “In view of the instructions of the administration, we have decided to celebrate Ganeshotsav this time with simplicity. The height of the statue will be kept only four feet and its immersion will also be done in an artificial pond instead of the sea. 'Mumbai's richest Ganapati Mandal GSB has cancelled the Ganesh Utsav till February 2021 due to Corona. The rest of the Mandals will either not celebrate or will celebrate at a small level. Representatives of Ganesh Mandals had a meeting recently with Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. In this, CM Uddhav Thackeray had said that Ganeshotsav is the tradition and culture of Maharashtra, so it will not break, but due to Corona, it should be celebrated with simplicity. This means that like every year, there will not be huge and grand statues this year. There will be no crowd in the immersion procession. There will be no dancing, singing, etc. Along with this, there will be the limited number of people in the pandals too.
