In addition, Dr Anthony Fauci, top US medical officer and President Joe Biden's Chief Medical Advisor, says, "The Omicron variant is spreading rapidly across the country, but early indications suggest that they are probably less dangerous than delta variants of the virus.''

However, Singapore's Health Ministry says, "Early clinical trials globally show that other variants of the Omicron variant Covid-19 can be much more contagious than delta and beta and can also increase the risk of reinfection.
