New Delhi: For the free treatment of coronavirus epidemic you do not need to depend only on government hospitals. You can also get treatment of coronavirus in private hospitals and that too for free. There is a scheme of the central government under which you are eligible to get treatment of this epidemic in private hospitals without spending any money.
Praveen Gedam, Additional CEO of National Health Authority, says that treatment of coronavirus is possible in government as well as private hospitals under the world's largest health scheme 'Ayushman Bharat'. Under the Corona Virus Package, about 8000 tests have been done all over the country and about 6000 Corona patients have been treated in private hospitals. According to media reports, 1000 new hospitals have been included in this scheme in the last one month. So far, more than 22,000 hospitals have been covered in this scheme across the country.
Many changes have been made in the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. In this plan, packages of treatment of Covid are included. It also includes the expenses of PPE Kit and Face Mask. The Center has asked state governments to make different packages according to their requirement.
