The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has issued detailed guidelines to the Ministry of Personnel, which it has shared with all the Ministries. Issuing these guidelines, new ways of coming and going in the office have been explained in detail. Everyone has to follow it compulsorily. According to these guidelines, spitting at the workplace or other public places will attract a fine and this penalty will be in line with state or central laws. In addition, the Central Government has asked 50% of the employees below the level of Deputy Secretary to start coming to the office. Earlier, only 33% of the employees were allowed to come to the office. After the lockdown was declared on March 25, the central government had asked most of its employees to 'work from home'.
