Farmer threw capsicum worth Rs 24 lakh amid lockdown

Corona is wreaking havoc across the country. Lockdown has been implemented across the country to prevent this growing infection. In such a situation, people are imprisoned in their homes. However, the government has given an exemption to sell items needed in daily life. But people are not coming out of the house due to fear of this deadly virus, which is also having a direct impact on the vegetable markets. Due to lack of buyers in vegetable markets, farmers have been forced to throw their vegetables on the streets. A similar case has emerged from Madhya Pradesh.

Although the wholesale mandis of Indore-Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh are closed. In this case, the farmers who grow vegetables are suffering a lot. A farmer of Chapra cultivated Picador in 5 bigha field and capsicum at a cost of about 4 lakh rupees. By the time the crop was ready, the lockdown was implemented across the country due to Coronavirus, due to which wholesale mandis of Indore and Bhopal were closed. This farmer could not find a single buyer in the mandi, due to which, the laborers had to pluck the chillies and throw them out of the fields. A farmer named Prem of Chapra told that a bigha produces about 150 quintals of chilli. Even when the price is low, capsicum is sold at Rs 20 per kg.

Let us tell you that in the ongoing lockdown due to Coronavirus, this farmer has to throw about Rs 24 lakh on the chilly roads. The farmers are also suffering a lot due to the lockdown. Also, farmers associated with milk and egg production are also facing many problems in lockdown.
