Hearing on Gyanvapi survey again today, Muslim side adamant on demand for change of commissioner

Varanasi: The hearing in the court of civil judge (senior division) on Monday was not completed on the appeal of the Anjuman Samshakia Masajid Committee to change the court commissioner appointed for the survey of the Gyanvapi complex in Kashi. After two-and-a-half hours of arguments, the court adjourned the hearing in the case to Tuesday. The matter will be heard again today. It is being told that a decision on the date of the survey can come today.

Dissatisfied with the survey proceedings, advocate Abhaynath Yadav of the opposition Anjuman Prakiya Masajid Committee had on Saturday approached the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar seeking to replace court commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra. The court adjourned the hearing on the non-receipt of the application from the plaintiff. On Monday, opposition Abhaynath Yadav argued and demanded an immediate change of the court commissioner.

Prayer has been made to the court to conduct a survey of Shri Krishna Janmasthan-Idgah on the lines of Varanasi. Mahendra Pratap Singh Advocate, who has filed the suit in Thakur Keshavdev Ji vs Shahi Idgah case, has filed a petition to this effect in the court of civil judge senior division. Along with this, a copy of the court order in respect of Varanasi has also been put up.
