New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on Friday that 2,685 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total active caseload to 16,308 cases. The weekly positivity rate is 0.54 percent, and the daily positivity rate is 0.60 percent. As per the health ministry statement, India's COVID recoveries surpassed at 4,26,09,335 level with 2,158 fresh recoveries in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Health department administered 193.13 crore vaccine doses have been under the nationwide vaccination drive. In the last 24 hours, 4,47,637 tests were conducted, according to the government data. The worldwide COVID-19 immunisation programme began on January 16, 2021, and the new phase of COVID-19 universalization began on June 21, 2021.
