NEW DELHI: As per the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday, India again sees a surge in infections with 9,629 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours . This surge in cases comes a day after the country saw 6,660 cases last day. Prior to that on 24 April, the country saw a huge drop 7,178 Covid cases after reporting over 10,000 cases daily. A recent study that was conducted between April 4 and April 16 revealed that while the average illness lasts only one to three days, there are eight to ten symptoms that may be affecting the patient, such as fever and conjunctivitis. Children are being severely affected by the COVID outbreak, and the majority of them have minor signs of a febrile illness. As a result of its mild nature, the current Covid-19 variations won't result in a lot of hospitalisations or severity. However, the government has advised individuals to complete their vaccinations if they haven't already and to use masks in busy situations. The second death was reported from Jabalpur district where a 27-year-old woman, who was admitted to hospital after a cardiac disease. Against the 39 fresh cases that were reported on Monday, a total of 50 patients recovered from the disease. Overall there were 364 active cases in state and reports of 645 samples were received.
