New Delhi, India: India had a decline in daily cases on Monday with 8,013 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health. As per Ministry's news release, India's active COVID caseload is currently at 1,02,601, accounting for 0.24 percent of the country's total positive cases. In India, the weekly positivity rate is currently at 1.17 percent, while the daily positivity rate is at 1.11 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 16,765 patients have recovered from the infection. Since the onset of the pandemic, a total of 4,23,07,686 patients have been recovered.A total of 119 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the COVID death toll to 5,13,843. According to provisional statistics as of 7 a.m. today, India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage had surpassed 177.50 crore (1,77,50,86,335) due to the administration of approximately 5 lakh (4,90,321) COVID vaccine doses in the last 24 hours. "This was accomplished through 2,03,49,590 sessions," according to the press statement. A total of 7,23,828 COVID tests were performed in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry, India has undertaken over 76.74 crore (76,74,81,346) total COVID tests.
