Covid vaccines administered in India surpasses 165 crore mark

NEW DELHI: According to the health ministry, India's Covid-19 immunisation coverage on Saturday hit 165.04 crore, with over 56 lakh vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours. This was accomplished by a total of 180,50,126 sessions.

"There are 165 crore vaccination doses in total! Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, India now has a powerful protective shield of over 165 crore vaccine doses in the fight against COVID19 ", said Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, in a tweet.

According to the ministry, around 4,50,05,663 teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18 have received their first dose of Covid vaccinations since the campaign began on January 3. Mandaviya commended the children of this age group on reaching this milestone and for receiving Covid vaccinations.

"To my young friends, I congratulate you! The first dosage of the vaccine was given to almost 4.5 crore children. PM @NarendraModi ji's government is protecting the country's future with the #SabkoVaccineMuftVaccine campaign. Let us get the vaccination and ensure the safety of the country ", he said.
