Sri Lanka cricket tournament canceled due to Corona

Sri Lanka is now preparing to postpone all its domestic tournaments to deal with this worldwide epidemic.

According to reports, on Friday, 20 March, President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa announced the curfew in Sri Lanka till 23 March, after which the Sri Lankan Cricket Board tweeted that, 'Considering the current health (COVID-19 epidemic) situation in the country' Keeping in view, the SLC tournament committee decided to postpone the holding of all domestic tournaments until further notice.

It is learned that before this, the two-match Test series against England and Sri Lanka, which started on March 12, also had to be canceled. Fearing the coronavirus, English players decided not to join hands during the Test series, but before that a big decision was taken. Several members of the England team had to suffer from stomach discomfort and flu before and during the first Test on the recent South Africa tour, after which they decided to hit the fist instead of joining hands on the Sri Lankan tour.
