CPRF jawan committed suicide in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, A CRPF jawan used his service rifle to commit suicide at his camp in the Naxal violence affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.

According to officials, "the incident was reported early yesterday morning when constable Tejvir Singh 32 of the 217th battalion of the force allegedly shot himself with his official INSA rifle at the Central Reserve Police Force camp in Konta area."

At the time of incident, Singh was on sentry duty.

The jawan belonged to Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and was part of the deployment in the anti-Naxal operations grid in the state.
