Shimla: CBI meets managers of private universities in the scholarship scam. The interrogation has answered questions on the multi-crore scam. Investigations have revealed that the scholarships of about 42 students of Vivi have been illegally grabbed. The documents relating to the bank account were also filled up at the time of admission in the university. After receiving the scholarship money from the government, it was removed using these vouchers. Vouchers and forms relating to the bank have also been found during the course of investigation in the University. It has been taken over by the CBI. In the earlier probe, the CBI has also registered statements with the students related to the scam on their signatures and other aspects. In a 2.5-crore fraud in the Education Department, private universities in several states of the country, including the state, had grabbed crores of scholarships to poor and other sections of students in the state. In view of this, the Government has handed over the investigation of the case to the CBI. Thousands of students have been victims in this case. In fact, many students missed out on their studies without scholarships. The CBI is investigating the matter in-depth and in due course, many more Vivi's managers and then bank officials will come to the fore.
