Crisis of SP continues, reaches to Election Commission, clash for party office

The crisis of Samajwadi Party, ruling in UP, is not over and even after yesterday's apparent patch-up, on Sunday again, fresh spurt of divisive events took place. Both the factions moved on their own path without caring about the mood of the other.

The CM Akhilesh faction held its ‘National Convention’ and passed four resolutions as per the wishes of Akhilesh and Ramgopal Yadav. The so called ‘National Convention’ decided that Akhilesh Yadav will now be the National President of the party and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav will now be ‘regarded’ as the patron and guide. The convention also expelled Amarsigh from the party and removed Shivpal Singh Yadav from the post of State President.

After these moves by the Akhileh camp, Mulayam Singh also did not remain silent and he wrote a letter to the Election Commission, telling that the today’s convention of SP is an illegal gathering as per the constitution of the party and all the decisions taken there are also in-valid.

In another development, a clash involving physical fight took place at the party office between the excited supporters of the two rival factions, for the control over the office. Ultimately, uncertainty prevailed and the office was closed early.
