A special bike ambulance has been developed by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed a special bike ambulance to attend to urgent evacuation needs of security personnel in the event of a medical emergency or battle injury.It is called ‘Rakshita’ and have been successfully launched in Delhi today. As many as 21 'Rakshita'- bike ambulances were inducted CRPF on Monday. Dr AP Maheshwari, DG CRPF and Dr AK Singh, DS & DG (LS), DRDO unveiled the bike ambulance today at CRPF Headquarters in New Delhi developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) in collaboration with CRPF for golden hour life-saving help and evacuation. DG CRPF expressed his gratitude to team INMAS for their unrelenting efforts put in developing the bike ambulance and commended their dedication and professional efficiency.
