CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test tentatively on Sunday, June 18. The examination is held for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas under the faculty of Science and Technology, said a notification from the council. Look below for details:- Educational qualification: Candidates interested in applying need to possess a Master of Science (MSc) or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS- 4 years/ Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/ Bachelor of Technology (BTech)/ BPharma/MBBS from a recognized university or institute with at least 55 per cent marks. Age limit: For JR, the maximum age limit is 28 years, whereas, for LS (NET), there is no upper age limit. Selection procedure: There will be two separate merit lists by the conducting organization, one comprising the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF - NET) and the second, of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET). All the candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination followed by interview round.
