Hyderabad: Heroin worth Rs 214 crore has been seized from hyderabad and delhi's IGI airports in three separate cases. This success has been achieved by the customs department. The Revenue Intelligence Department (DRI) recovered 3.9 kg of heroin from a Ugandan woman from hyderabad's RGI airport, which is said to be worth about Rs 250 million. This woman had hidden heroin in her bag. Police are engaged in questioning the woman. Meanwhile, DRI recovered about 8 kg of heroin worth over Rs 52 crore from a Zambian woman from Hyderabad's RGI airport. The woman had hidden the heroin in a gas pipe roll. Both the accused women have been arrested. The two women had arrived in Hyderabad by Qatar Airlines via Doha from Johannesburg. DRI said the case is under investigation. The customs department has arrested 2 Afghan nationals at delhi's IGI airport. 19.5 kg of heroin has been recovered from his bag, which is worth more than Rs 136 crore. These heroin stuffed into bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Both the accused came from Dubai from Emirates Airlines. The customs department is interrogating both the accused. They suspect that the arrested accused may be members of a large drug trafficking gang.
