Dazzling Diwali in Ayodhya: Illuminating 51 Ghats with Record-Breaking Lamps

Ayodhya: As the festival of lights approaches, Ayodhya is poised to set a new record this Diwali with the illumination of 51 ghats in Ramnagari adorned with an astounding 24 lakh lamps. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Marg is also blooming with vibrant flowers, creating a festive ambiance. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to mark the occasion by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects totaling Rs 153 crore.

 

Guinness World Record Attempt

Reports suggest that the Uttar Pradesh government aims to establish a Guinness World Record during the Deepotsav celebration in Ayodhya this Diwali. The event is expected to draw attendees from various places, including 48 tribal individuals from Pakur district in Jharkhand. These tribal participants, residing in mountainous areas, plan to journey barefoot to partake in the festival of lights. The Jharkhand State Shri Ram Janaki Charitable Service Trust will facilitate their participation. Additionally, guests from 50 countries and approximately 25 thousand volunteers are expected to join the celebration.

Stringent Security Measures in Place

In preparation for the grand event, the area has been put on high alert, with officials receiving necessary instructions. Firecracker shops have been strategically placed in open areas away from the city. Special DG Law and Order Prashant Kumar of the UP Police Department assures that, as in previous years, the Deepotsav festival will be celebrated with exuberance and joy.

CM Yogi's Diwali Celebrations with Vantangiya Community

As part of the festivities, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will not only oversee the grand celebration in Ayodhya but also extend his Diwali celebrations to include the people of the Vantangiya community on November 12, 2023. During the Deepotsav in Vantangiya village, Jungle Tikonia number three, CM Yogi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects amounting to approximately Rs 153 crore. This includes the inauguration of 32 projects worth Rs 91 crore related to villages in various assembly constituencies of the Chief Minister's district and the laying of the foundation stone for 20 development projects costing Rs 62 crore. The festivities promise to be a vibrant and momentous occasion for both locals and visitors alike.
