Bodies of husband and wife found in Delhi's Mongolpuri, investigation underway

NEW DELHI: Mongolpuri in the national capital got shocked when the bodies of the couple were found in a room in a house on Sunday evening. The woman's body was hanging from a fan in the house in Mongolpuri while her husband's body was lying on the floor. In the initial investigation, the police are treating it as a case of suicide, but the police have not received any suicide note from the spot.

However, the police have asked for further action after investigating the case. Police are trying to contact the couple's family. Police have shifted the bodies to The Merchant of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem. Police officials say the case does not seem to be a case of murder. Preliminary investigations have found no injury marks on the woman's body.

The couple has been identified as Aarti and Manoj. He was originally a resident of Aurangabad. The police control room was informed of the bodies of the couple lying on the second floor of an apartment in the block around 8 p.m. on Sunday evening. Aarti was hanging from the fan with a noose, while Manoj was lying dead on the floor. The froth was coming out of his mouth. Both were immediately admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared both dead.
