Dead troll 16 in landslide at Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang

Friday Arunachal Pradesh had a bad phase as landslide took place in Tawang District, in the tragic incident at least 16 people died. An NDRF team had gone for the mark as rescue process came to an end. Police officer Nabin Payeng stated, the landslide swept through a labor camp at a construction site in Tawang.

Nabin also said “In the search after the tragedy rescuers found 16 bodies and were searching for two other workers feared hidden in the debris. Three workers escaped from the camp at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters (7,500 feet)”,

Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed misery over the loss of lives and expressed his condolence to the bereaved family.

Heavy rainfall in the past few days in the district resulted in a flood-like situation which severely damaged the Kitpi Ph-I and Ph-II hydel projects.

However, the rescue team is still in the operation to save maximum life.
