On December 29, with the arrival of 263 new cases of coronavirus in Odisha, the number of infected people in the state increased to 3,29,001 on Tuesday. At the same time, the number of dead has increased to 1,868 with 4 more deaths due to infection. This information has been given by an official of the state health department. In the new case, 151 cases are from different isolated habitat centres, while the rest were identified between the people who came in contact. It has been learned that the Sundergarh district has the highest number of 32 cases, followed by 23 cases in Bargarh and 22 in Bolangir. According to the information received, no new cases have been reported in the four districts Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Koraput since Monday. The official said that one person died of the infection in Balasore, Kalahandi, Khurda and Puri districts. At the same time, 2,688 patients are currently being treated in Odisha, while 3,24,392 patients have become healthy so far. So far 53 people have died from the infection. The infection rate in the state is 4.78 per cent.
